Edna M. Denny, age 77, New Castle resident, passed away Friday, November 12, 2010 in Heritage House of New Castle Nursing Home.
She was born on February 21, 1933 in Wayne County, Kentucky a daughter of the late William Ezra and Daisy Joann Dodson Carender.
She attended New Castle Schools, and had resided in New Castle, Indiana for many years. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, and had worked as a waitress, and also as a typist for the Indiana Attorney General’s Office. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by: 1 sister, Leeta Castetter of Grove City, Ohio; 2 nephews, John Gregory (wife Amy) Castetter of Villa Hills, Kentucky and Thomas Robert (wife Molly) Castetter of Columbus, Ohio; 2 great-nephews, Gregory Thomas Castetter of Columbus, Ohio and Jack C. Castetter of Columbus, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, her husband, David Carl Denny and 1 brother, William Edward Carender.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 19, 2010 at St. Anne Catholic Church in New Castle (102 North 19th Street New Castle, Indiana 47362) with Father Joe Rautenberg officiating. Burial will follow at South Mound Cemetery in New Castle. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 19, 2010 at the church.
