Obituary for Donald Shaw

Our precious and brave warrior, Donald E. Shaw, went to be with our Father in heaven and meet again with his son, Chris Shaw, on January 4th, 2020.
Donald’s favorite place to be was at “The River,” his spot on the Ohio River, where he made the best memories boating and enjoying the company of his sons, then his wife, LaTheda Shaw, and all of his children and grandchildren ,Don loved watching his ball games, but he was a Boilermaker through and through. His family could always go to him for any help and advice, especially when it came to fixing things. It’s wasn’t rare to find Don working on the house or in the yard with his dogs following behind him, but that’s what he loved to do!
He will always be remembered as a humble man of God that adored his family and would do anything for them. He was retired after almost 40 years of service from General Motors in Anderson where he was a member of UAW. He was a resident of New Castle, Springport and Cadiz most of his life. In 1962 graduate of Candiz High School where he was an outstanding athlete, excelling in Basketball. Attended Faith Church in Anderson. He is loved and adored by his family that survived him: wife Theda Phillips Shaw whom he married Nov 1, 1988, also 1 son Todd Shaw (wife Jody) of Middletown, IN., step children: Nikole Bonner (husband Rev. Duane) of Orville, OH., LeiAnne Lloyd (Mark) of Muncie. Grandchildren Christopher D.
